Being a Host Church
What is the Pais Project?

What about Training?
Every Pais team is led by a Team Leader who has at least one years experience with Pais. Each team has three weeks of seminary style training at the beginning of the academic year, weekly mentoring and one hour of additional training each week. There are three other 3-5 day training conferences throughout the year. [Link]
What will a team do?
A Pais team based at a local church will make missionaries of students in the youth ministry. A typical schedule involves teaching lessons, running clubs and attending extracurricular activities. Each week every apprentice will mentor a minimum of three students as they work through the Pais key distinctive of discipleship.
Pais can also bring an established program that equips students to be missionaries. We call this program M4 and it revolves around four elements. The first is a bi annual conference to equip students to live their faith at school. The second is an academy that enables students to serve weekly in the community. The third is a regular mentoring program where each apprentice disciples at least 3 students. The fourth element is a yearly mission. Each of these elements are designed to provide weekly opportunity for the three distinctives of discipleship, mission and service. See here for more details. [Link]
What does a partnership require?
When partnering with the Pais Project, Pais will provide the training, transport and organization for a team. We ask that the church provides an office and pastoral care as well as identify key schools the team can connect with. A church should think through how the individuals on their Pais team can fit into their youth ministry so that the apprentices are fully utilized within a church setting.
