   Vision of Pais:Germany
Before 2001, schools in Germany were closed for nearly any worker from the outside – but then came the "Pisa-Shock" where the society detected that schools do not prepare pupils good enough for their future.

The Pais Project in Germany is an excellent way to be in partnership with schools and live in a christian way among young people. Our vision is to see young people raised up in a positive way and help them to be successful in ALL parts of their lives.

Goals
# We want local German christians to come on board with us on this exciting adventure.
# We want to have teams in every federal state within 4 years.

History of Pais:Germany

"The Jesus Initiative" was an organization with a vision to evangelize in local schools. Then in 2002, talks started between them and Pais and they began collaborating their vision.

In 2003, Pais:Germany launched with a team of 6 young people. Since then, they have grown and now have a presence in the following cities:

# in the North:Neumünster, Großenaspe, Parchim
# in the East: Greifswald, Dresden
# in the West: Krefeld, Bochum
# in the South: Freiburg, Hegau

Featured Projects

A year on Pais:Germany is supported by the government and is considered to be a „Voluntary Service Year“. Men who do a year with Pais in any country are freed from their duty to do Military Service.

In one school in Neumünster, we provide the whole lunch program on four days a week: Serving lunch, helping with homework, doing several lunch club activities. Here are some other regular pieces of ministry we do:

# Breakfast meetings
# Anti-Bullying seminars
# Assisting teachers
# "Sunday schools" on wednesdays!

Courses

Multi:track Multi:track offers training in all areas of youth and schools work and is especially suitable for those wanting to go into youth ministry in the future.

Touch:base  will get you working with at-risk young people, as well as with mainstream students in a course that touches everyone.

Infra:structure   is often referred to as the base of Pais. Interns will use general gifts of administration and logistics to facilitate Pais in the nation and also globally.

National Directors

Pais:Germany is led by André Springhut. His dream is to always find new and deeper ways to reach young people as they are a desperate generation.

André mainly works behind the scenes. He is a gifted administrator and his logoistical talents have created a flourishing ministry in the schools of his nation.

Testimonies

“Wir sind froh, dass wir unseren Schülern durch KRASS Angebote im musischen und im Freizeitbereich machen können. KRASS ist für unseren Nachmittagsbereich nicht mehr wegzudenken.”
Frau L. - Principal, Pais/Krass Krefeld

“Da die Fünftklässler neu zusammengewürfelt sind, aus verschiedenen Schulen kommen, war Pais für uns wichtig. Sie helfen bei Konflikten, bzw. trainieren Strategien, in der Hausaufgabenbetreuung und in der Freizeit. Der Jugendtreff ist beliebt und hilft soziale Kontakte zu knüpfen.”
Frau F. - Teacher, Pais Freiburg

"Die Helfer/innen sind eine qualifizierte Hilfe für den Förderunterricht/ Einzelförderung (Engl.). Auch in Musik war die Hilfe eine positive Verstärkung für die Klasse (Bsp. Musical). Die Zusammenarbeit hat Spaß gemacht."
Frau B. - Teacher, ASS2
