   Vision of Pais:Northern Ireland
We want to start a movement that will follow in the footsteps of our ancestors! Our vision is to empower the youth of Northern Ireland to go beyond religion and to enter into a relationship with Christ and their community.

Our goal is to disciple and support young people who will lead their peers in the Way. Our strategy is to train students to be missionaries who find their mission field on their own streets and in their classrooms.

History of Pais:NI

The first Pais team in Northern Ireland was planted in 2000 under the direction of Pais Great Britain. It was the first team to be planted outside of GB and a successful trial of the Pais model in other nations. In 2003 a National Director was appointed to restructure and develop the work in Northern Ireland. Over the years, Pais NI has become an established and much valued resource to schools, churches, youth agencies and community groups across Northern Ireland. We are now in a position to develop more teams in new areas and have plans to plant teams in the Republic of Ireland in the near future!

Opportunities

Multi:track team is an excellent opportunity to be trained in youth ministry and to learn by experience! As a member of the Multi:track team on the Northcoast of Northern Ireland, you will be working on a regular basis in at least eight schools!

Each member of the team brings their own gifts, strengths and creativity to every piece of ministry and enables us to reach students of all ages from different backgrounds.

Going south! Planting teams around the whole of Ireland has been a goal for Pais Northern Ireland for years. Doors have been opening up, God has been moving and we are ready to follow Him into a new area! You can be a part of seeing this vision become a reality by joining a pioneering team in Dublin in the near future!

Street:level team will be launched for the first time in September of 2009! This team will be made up of apprentices who are skilled in performance arts--from beat-boxing to break-dancing--and will be trained to use these skills in ministry.

The Street:level team will also be partnering with Exodus, a christian night-base located in the center of Coleraine, to better reach the students in the Northcoast area!

One of our partners is Cheers Youth Center we partnered with this drop-in center in 2003. We offer the center volunteers and run one of the evening sessions. This is a great place to invite the young people we meet in the schools to come along to. We also organise theme nights, food nights and also play football on the local Astroturf pitches. The center then offers us a national and team base, which is where the team meets and has their office.
