Vision of Pais:Eire
Eire is the Irish word for Ireland. Eire has a history and culture that has been massively influenced by christianity. But the future of this nation depends on the young people who belong to it!
The message of Jesus is not new to Ireland. For centuries, the Irish have heard the name of God in their streets and their schools.
Our dream is that this generation wouldn't only hear His name, but that they would know His heart! |
| |
| We believe that God believes in the young people of Ireland! Through partnerships with local churches who share that belief in young people, we hope to see God's Kingdom come in their communities! |

History of Pais Eire
For several years it has been the dream of Pais Northern Ireland to plant a team in the Republic of Ireland. In 2008, Kelli, an American who spent her first year on Pais in N. Ireland, returned to N. Ireland after spending two years in the USA where she trained under founding director Paul Gibbs.
During a short-term mission trip to Cork in August 2009, Kelli was able to share the vision of Pais with The Haven, a cafe/christian book-shop, and later approached them with the idea of forming a partnership. In September 2010, Kelli will be leading the first Pais team in Ireland. The team will be based in Cork and will partner with The Haven in reaching people and making missionaries.

Opportunities

Do you have a pioneer's heart? Pais:Eire is looking for young adults who are ready to risk, willing to grow and who are committed to seeking God's Kingdom first to join the first Pais team to be planted in Ireland!
Our first stop...Cork! Cork is the second largest city in the Republic of Ireland and is one of the island's major seaports. It was named "Europe's City of Culture" in 2005 and has continued to grow in diversity without losing it's irish culture.

We are partnering with The Haven, a cafe/christian bookshop run by volunteers. The Haven has a vision to show Cork the love of Christ through acts of service and relationships, and provides a space for those relationships to grow.
Metro:Track is a course for a team whose members are based in the same church. For the first year in Cork, the team will not be based in a church, but will be based in The Haven as we build relationships with the local church in order to form partnerships in the future.
