Vision of Pais:Poland
Poland is a land with a troubled history. Situated on the border between Western and Eastern Europe, Polish people lived under the rule of socialism, an atheist structure, which proclaimed that God was irrelevant.
The vision of Pais:Poland is to give the young people of Poland the chance to hear about Jesus and his grace, love and saving power and to equip and empower young christians to reach their generation.
Goals #Get to know the country, culture and language #Get to know the school system, what is possible in the schools and how Pais can most effectively be involved #Have a committed team of 4 people developing relationships through teaching English, bible studies and conversation groups #To support the local church in their outreach in the local community
Opportunities
Pais:Poland hopes to launch in September 2010 with a pioneering team. The team will be laying the foundations for the coming years through networking, prayer, getting to know the culture and, of course, through schools and youth work. The team will be partnering with CME who have years of experience in empowering Polish churches to impact their communities.
The team will be supporting English lessons in schools as well as helping run these lessons in the church for adults and children from the local area. They will also travel to nearby villages each week to run after-school club.
