[Need a picture of Pais guys in school]
Pais has always assisted schools in delivering quality and creative lessons. We understand that teachers can often be overloaded and endeavor to support them where possible. The topics that we teach sometimes vary by nation depending upon the laws of the land. Regular lessons that are taught throughout the world revolve around Character education such as trustworthiness, study skills etc. Often Pais uses lessons and small groups to help combat bullying within schools. In countries that teach Religious Education the Pais Project is available to teach a wide range of themes from the Bible.
Each lesson is written by a team of apprentices, and begins with an attention: this raises questions in the students’ minds, provoking them to look deeper into the subject matter. Our lessons then switch to application, this digs deeper into the subject, unpacking principles and truths so the students can gain a better understanding of it. Finally, each lesson Pais creates has an appeal. This helps the students think through how to apply the topic to situations both in and out of school. Practical challenges are given and pupils have a chance to make decisions about their life.
Pais has created an online resource website so that teachers can download material for their classes. We call this mypais.info. We have provided a couple of examples for teachers to download and use.
Each pack comes with one document labeled Mi and followed by a number. The document is therefore labeled something like this: Mi0021. It contains the outline for the lesson. Within this document are explanations that tie together the modules contained within the pack. Each module is labeled with a series of letters and numbers, which may look like this: Ac0021. Teachers can therefore maintain the flexibility to use modules that will be useful for their particular class while changing ones that are not.
